Desert Sky Montessori invites you to be a part of an exciting Montessori charter school currently in it’s sixth year offering a fully implemented, tuition-free Montessori program. Desert Sky is located in the beautiful Central Oregon community of Bend, just minutes from mountains, rivers, climbing cliffs, and a myriad of other recreational opportunities.
Desert Sky opened its doors in 2017 with 4 classrooms with grades kindergarten through 3rd and now offers 7 classrooms through 6th grade. The Bend-La Pine School District has approved Desert Sky to serve children in kindergarten through 8th grade. The board of directors and administration team are diligently working to make plans for a middle school with hopes to expand as soon as possible.

Kindergarten/1st Grade Teacher Assistant
Reports to and works with the classroom Lead Guide. Responsible for assisting the Lead Guide with the general supervision, management of the class and supporting the personal, social and intellectual development of students in keeping with the Montessori philosophy.

After School Enrichment Club Lead
The individual in this position will lead and implement a program that aligns with the Montessori program held during school hours as well as assist in general classroom management and supervision. The applicant will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:30pm-6:00pm and Wednesday from 1:00pm – 6:00pm.
Substitute teaching during school hours may also be offered.
Must be at least 18 years old, have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent, and pass a background check. Experience in childcare, outdoor education, sports coaching, or similar preferred.
