How to Double Your Donation

Do you want to maximize your donation to our school? Many companies offer matching gift programs as part of their employee benefits package and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Sometimes the match is dollar-for-dollar or even more, meaning you can easily double or triple your impact!

Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program, fill out your employer’s matching gift paperwork, and the company will make a donation to Desert Sky Montessori based on its corporate giving policies.

Are you retired? Your donation may still qualify, as many companies match donations from retired employees. (This is a great way for grandparents to contribute!)

Employer-Sponsored Grants

At certain companies, grants are available to the local community where their employees work. Our school can access these grants if a parent (employee) requests an application on our behalf.

T-Mobile, KFC, and Albertson’s are among the many companies that offer these types of community grants. If we can leverage your connection to apply for a grant, please contact our Director of Operations with any opportunities.

Dollars for Doers

Your employer may provide grants to nonprofit organizations where you regularly volunteer. Thousands of companies (including Verizon, Apple, Allstate, Bank of America, Walmart, and Aetna) have volunteer grant programs that incentivize their employees’ volunteer efforts by providing monetary grants according to the number of hours volunteered.

Some employers also offer Volunteer Time Off (VTO), meaning you get paid time off to volunteer for your child’s school!
